After a failed field test on a starter or alternator a bench test at Arts should be your next stop. Although the tech/service/sales/manager (man wears many hats) name alludes me at the moment, he has been a fixture behind the bench for as long as I have been in Cowlitz County. I do not believe I am unique in appreciating someone who truly knows his business. A well stocked shelf of the parts you need to spin a flex-plate/fly-wheel, keep a charge on a battery, or get spark to where you need it, to keep equipment running is almost always there. If not quality parts will be on the way from wherever they may be. I understand and do at times shop prices to save a buck or two that being said I have no problem in walking through Art’s swinging doors and laying my hard earned dollars on the counter with confidence I got the right quality part at a fair price that will keep those doors open for the next time I come in and set an old greasy starter on the bench. I consider myself fortunate to have such an asset locally. S
