Jumped the gun on leaving the review, Art’s is still a quality automotive shop at a good value. However, I’m starting to think that the technicians may rush on work and don’t check their work before they tell you a timeframe. So far my pick-up date and time has been pushed back multiple times because they had not checked to make sure they had everything they needed or to make sure what they had was functional. They do make sure to give your vehicle back in the best condition though seeing as I was told I’d be able to pick it up Friday and it’s now the following Wednesday. This is not a huge issue, they just need to slow it down a bit to ensure that they are giving more accurate time frames and finding exactly what they need to do before giving you those timeframes. Like I said, this is not a huge issue as I have a work vehicle. The main reason this is an issue is because my wife has had to wait around for 3 days only to find out that it is actually not going to be done when they said it would. I brought my 2001 F-250 in to Art’s because it had a bad vibration while driving down the road which ended up being my rear differential was falling apart. I had they fix my rear differential, replace both headlight housings, fixing the wiring for the headlights, ( Previous owner installed aftermarket headlights and did some backyard mechanic jimmy-rig), ran diagnostics for a check engine light, caught up on all required vehicle maintenance, did a complimentary safety inspection and the technician washed my truck! (They got it back a day later than they had thought and the tech felt bad even though when I dropped it off I had told them I had no time limit.) In my opinion, they do quality and thorough work, were extremely fast, have amazing customer service and go above and beyond what I have grown to expect from other automotive shops. You’re vehicle is an investment and a lifeline for some. Do yourself a favor and let Arts keep it in tiptop shape and ease your mind.
